I have had time to do some crafting this weekend. The Valentine's wreath was an inspiration from another blog but I changed things around a bit. It is all made with my Cricut and the wonderful Art Philosophy cartridge.

The nurse card is for my niece for when she graduates as an RN in the spring. It was made with the Cricut and Everyday Paper Doll cartridge. I had the background paper in my stash and I have lots of stash!

Woke up to about 4 inches of snow this morning. Not bad for Michigan, snow so late in the winter season. Ordered a new stamp set from CTMH that will go great with their wonderful Art Philosophy cartridge for the Cricut. I have today off so have spent time doing a little shopping and cleaning, and this afternoon will be to clean up my craft area and work on another project...

Okay, it is time to get serious about blogging again. I have been doing many cards and 3D projects, just not posting them. We have a new printer and I am still not able to scan but will be using the camera for pictures of projects. I am no longer a SU demo so will be using other products to make crafts with. I am liking my Cricut Expression and Gypsy so much and received many carts for Christmas! So everyone, here's to the New Year and new projects!

Gifts of Christmas

In the cardmaking industry we are all busy designing Christmas cards! I actually have all my personal cards made, but this is the first card with one of the new stamp sets from SU. Cardstock - Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White. Markers - Glorious Green, Real Red, Bordering Blue, Night of Navy. I used the corner of the new Modern Label Punch for the corners and wrapped it with the silver cord. The background on the large Bordering Blue cardstock is run through the Big Shot on a texturz plate from backgrounds #1. More cards will be coming, keep checking back.

It looks like autumn in Michigan lately!

Wow, it's been awhile since I have posted. Sorry all, but it has been so busy around here and now even more so since the new SU catalog will be out July 1st!!! I have had a sneak peak and have been able to order early because I am a demonstrator and the card I am posting tonight is made with some of the new in-colors. I used Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry on this card. The lighter yellow in the daisies is So Safron. The polka dot ribbon is Bermuda Bay. All the in-colors have the polka dot grosgain ribbon to match. Hope you enjoy.

Wow, I am behind in posting anything. Sorry about that gang! I have been working with the Fifth Avenue Floral set from SU and love it. Also, there is an embossing folder out for the Big Shot that cordinates with Fifth Ave Floral and it is the Manhattan Flower. I am posting a card I made with the Manhattan Flower and later will post other cards using Fifth Avenue Floral. I truly hope you enjoy.

February Class Projects

February starts Sale-A-Bration at Stampin UP and I have been designing with the stamp sets, ribbon, and designer papers that are availabe for FREE with a $50 order. I love this time of the year! FREE stamps........what's better than that. Tonight is my monthly class and we will be making the cards posted. Lucy will be here and Chris J and my mom. A new stamper will be attending, my Aunt Jackie and I am so excited. I am sure she will just love what we do. :)

Time sure does fly! The past couple of weeks have been extremely busy, but fun. I went to visit Katrina in Illinois on October 30 and had a few days of enjoying her company. We went to all the scrapbook stores and then went shopping in St Louis, MO on that Saturday. What fun! Work has been driving me crazy and I have been trying to get some stamping done since that does relax me. I went to my upline meeting last night and made the candle holder. We stamped on the holder with white stazon and then covered it with a coat of modgepodge mixed with dazzling diamons glitter. It is so easy to do and looks so elegant. I made the little mice that Debby shared on one of my stamping groups, aren't they precious? Thanks Debby! I have a stamping get-together this afternoon so I am off to do some organizing. Hope you enjoy the picture.

Christmas card class was this past Tuesday. The women attending were able to make 5 cards of each of the 3 designs. We had a blast and will meet again next month.

Are you old enough to remember sock monkeys? My brother had one when he was little and carried that thing around with him all the time. Sock monkey brings back such good memories. All images are from SU! The designer paper was a gift from my friend Shelly.

I made this card for a friend. I love this technique. I got it off of someones blog, but can't remember who. She did a different card with it. First, I used More Mustard and sponged that on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I took the brayer with the sponge attachment and brayed a light coat of Pumpkin Pie over the More Mustard. I punch a 1 1/4 circle out from scrap paper and put it where I wanted it on the now Pumpkin Pie colored cardstock, stick it to the cardstock with repositional tape. Next, I brayered more Pumpkin Pie over it until it was dark. I sponged the edges with Bravo Burgundy and then Chocolate Chip ink, removed the circle, then stamped Nature Silhouette stamp. Added brads, layered it and here you have the final product.

Anyone that deals with the stamping world knows that SU has the new catalog out and I got my first order today, so have been playing. :)

Both cards use the designer paper packet that is offered for a level 1 hostest gift. Love them!

This card was so fun and easy to make. I used VersaMagic Multi-surface chalk ink pads and then took the white gel pen and made the veins in the leaves. I also made the squiggles and dashes with the gel pen. Enjoy.

This week's challenge is to use hardware, any kind, so I used the new silver ribbon holders from Stampin'UP! I absolutely love these little things. This is a business-sized magnet for a friend who has had a long, rough winter, and is a little down in the dumps. I hope she likes it.
