Something new for me, to create on a canvas. I also went out of my normal color scheme but I do like how the colors go together. I used Lyndys Stamp Gang sprays, Panpastels, Washi Tape, a scrapbook kit and some other embellishments I had lying around the studio.

Good morning! It's Friday and almost the beginning of a wonderful weekend. My niece Amber is getting married to the love of her life tomorrow and it will be such a happy event. I have been working on an altered canvas and will be posting that soon. Working on canvas and a little different than paper but I am beginning to enjoy it. My clean studio is once again a BIG MESS. LOL. Have a glorious day and I will be blogging again soon.

LEARNING HOW TO ART JOURNAL
I know I have been missing in action on my blog but am back. I still make cards and have gotten into scrapbooking, even made my new grandson a book for his mommy to add pictures to for his first year. Now I am into art journaling. I started this about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. I have been experimenting with different products and watching videos and LEARNING a lot.
I am going to share my newest page with you now and this page will be submitted to a contest for Design Memory Craft. It will be my first time submitting any of my art work. Be patient with me as I go through the process of posting pictures and explaining steps to make this 2-page spread.
First I put Gesso on my pages. I then did transfers of this flower I found on the net. To transfer you print out the photo you want, spread a medium coat of Golden Gel Medium over your pages, put photos printed side down and wait about 50-60 seconds and then pull the paper up and your image will be left on the page. As you can see I neglected to cut around one of the flowers but that is okay cause there are more layers being put on the pages.
Next, I used Faber Castell gellatos in Buttercream, Lemon, Tangerine and scribbled them all over the pages and then blended them together with Faber Castell water brush. I love gellatos...... you can blend them with your fingers with or without water, can brush them on, apply them to your project and then watercolor. They are awesome!
Now I used Dylusions Letter Jumble stencil and added texture with Faber Castell PITT artist pen big brush in green olive.
More stenciling with Studio 490 Polka Dot Party and Faber Castell PITT artist pen big brush in scarlet red.
I then did a little stamping in spots, add some gesso to give some white. I then fussy cut some flowers and added them and journaled on them.
I then made a border around the pages with Green Tea gelatto and rubbed it in with my finger.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you learned something new too. Happy crafting my friends!
