Time sure does fly! The past couple of weeks have been extremely busy, but fun. I went to visit Katrina in Illinois on October 30 and had a few days of enjoying her company. We went to all the scrapbook stores and then went shopping in St Louis, MO on that Saturday. What fun! Work has been driving me crazy and I have been trying to get some stamping done since that does relax me. I went to my upline meeting last night and made the candle holder. We stamped on the holder with white stazon and then covered it with a coat of modgepodge mixed with dazzling diamons glitter. It is so easy to do and looks so elegant. I made the little mice that Debby shared on one of my stamping groups, aren't they precious? Thanks Debby! I have a stamping get-together this afternoon so I am off to do some organizing. Hope you enjoy the picture.

Count Down to Christmas

Christmas card class was this past Tuesday. The women attending were able to make 5 cards of each of the 3 designs. We had a blast and will meet again next month.

Season of Change

This card was designed with a stamp set that Chris Dickinson designed for Sweet and Sassy Stamps. I think I am going to use this set alot!

sock monkey

Are you old enough to remember sock monkeys? My brother had one when he was little and carried that thing around with him all the time. Sock monkey brings back such good memories. All images are from SU! The designer paper was a gift from my friend Shelly.

Howlingsunset

I made this card for a friend. I love this technique. I got it off of someones blog, but can't remember who. She did a different card with it. First, I used More Mustard and sponged that on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I took the brayer with the sponge attachment and brayed a light coat of Pumpkin Pie over the More Mustard. I punch a 1 1/4 circle out from scrap paper and put it where I wanted it on the now Pumpkin Pie colored cardstock, stick it to the cardstock with repositional tape. Next, I brayered more Pumpkin Pie over it until it was dark. I sponged the edges with Bravo Burgundy and then Chocolate Chip ink, removed the circle, then stamped Nature Silhouette stamp. Added brads, layered it and here you have the final product.

Anyone that deals with the stamping world knows that SU has the new catalog out and I got my first order today, so have been playing. :)

Both cards use the designer paper packet that is offered for a level 1 hostest gift. Love them!

Belli challenge for the week of 6/1/08

Chrissy's challenge this week is to make something with vellum or mulberry paper. I love both, but decided to use vellum in this card. :)

5/27/08 Belli Challenge

This card was so fun and easy to make. I used VersaMagic Multi-surface chalk ink pads and then took the white gel pen and made the veins in the leaves. I also made the squiggles and dashes with the gel pen. Enjoy.

5/20/08 Belli Challenge

This weeks Belli challenge is using the paper piercing tool. I also used the merging color technique on this care.

2 challenges in 1 5/14/08

Chrissy gave me the color challenge and Debby gave me the sketch challenge. I have to say the colors are not something I would normally work with, but think it turned out okay. Hope you enjoy.

Late Belli challenge

I am lagging behind in my projects only because I have been getting ready for the Stampin UP Regional in Milwaukee on April 19th. This will be my first big SU event and I am so excited.

I did make this card tonight out of some scraps I had. It was an easy card to do.

Chris's Bella Challenge

This week's challenge is to use hardware, any kind, so I used the new silver ribbon holders from Stampin'UP! I absolutely love these little things. This is a business-sized magnet for a friend who has had a long, rough winter, and is a little down in the dumps. I hope she likes it. Oh, the cut-outs say...."best friends listen to what you don't say."

Chalking Technique

This was a very fun and easy card. I used white craft ink and then chalked over the top of it. My mom wants me to replenish her card box so this is one she will get.
